Sooyoung in ‘Speed’!

Please excuse the cringe-worthy title but our Choi Sooyoung has been cast in the new drama ‘Speed’!

Sooyoung’s character is Seo Jiwon, an orthopedist for a racing team, whose work ethic is impeccable and personality bright and cheerful, yet someone whose work conflicts with her personal tribulations as she lost her parents to a car accident when she was a teenager.

While ‘Speed’ revolves around speed racing and the fierce competition of the sport, it also tells the story of the growth, love and separation among four men and women.

The drama will be directed by Yang Yoonho (who directed Iris), and is still in the process of casting its male protagonists. Filming will begin in December 2011.

Following Yoona’s casting in ‘Love Rain,’ SNSD will now have two active actresses on Korean television in the next few months to come. Congratulations and fighting!
