Kanjani8 as main part in 24Hour TV 2011

"It was revealed today that all 7 current members of Kanjani8 will appear in the NTV drama special "Ikiteru Dake de Nankurunaisa".

Although the group’s individual members have been in many television dramas, this will be the first time that all of them have appeared together in the same one.

“Ikiteru Dake de Nankurunaisa” was recently announced as the drama that will be aired as part of NTV’s charity program “24 Hour Television” this year. It was also previously revealed that Kanjani8 will serve as the main personalities for “24 Hour Television.

Since 1980, there has been a drama special included as part of the programming during “24 Hour Television.” This will be the first time that all the members of a group serving as the main personalities will appear together in the drama.

“Ikiteru Dake de Nankurunaisa” is based on a book by Tamamoto Eisaku. Kanjani8 member Murakami Shingo (29) has the lead role as a young man who battles with multiple serious diseases such as acute myeloid leukemia.

Actress Tanaka Lena (31) plays his wife who supports him in his struggles. The roles of the other Kanjani8 members have not yet been announced.

“24 Hour Television” will start at 6:30pm on August 20. The drama special will air that same night.”
